When should I choose a vertical LSR machine over a horizontal one?
Choose a vertical LSR injection molding machine for overmolding or insert molding - for example bonding silicone onto glass, metal, or electronic inserts. A vertical clamp keeps the cavity facing up so inserts rest flat and stay located while the mold closes. A horizontal machine is usually preferred for high-volume, single-material parts with automatic ejection.
What clamping force do I need for my LSR molding project?
Clamping force depends on the projected area of the part and the injection pressure; larger or multi-cavity tooling needs more tonnage. The TYM-L series spans 95 T to 250 T. Share your part drawing and cavity layout and an engineer can recommend the right model.
Can I run two-station production on one TYM-L machine?
Yes. The dual slide plate mounts one upper mold over two lower molds. With two-station operation, an operator loads or unloads one station while the other cures, keeping the injection unit working and raising output per cycle.
Is the shot volume fixed on TYM-L series machines?
No. Shot volume is configured per order from 10, 35, 70, 160, or 285 g, so the barrel is matched to your part weight rather than oversized, for optimal material usage and cost efficiency.
Can TYM-L machines process medical or food-contact grade silicone?
